Why Attend our Cyber Security Event?
For every business, cyber security is top of the agenda, but how should you best protect your data, employees, clients, and systems? As we’ll analyse below, the Cyber Security Threat Landscape is becoming increasingly complex.
Our upcoming Cyber Security Workshop will look to tackle all the Cyber Security issues, concerns and questions that you may have. Leading experts from Sweethaven, KnowBe4, ConnectWise and the Surrey Police will be presenting, discussing and answering your questions.
This event will take place on Thursday 5th May 2022 from 2:00pm – 5:00pm. It will be in person at the Hop Stop in Reigate.
What’s in it for me? What will I get out of the event?
We’ll be looking at the current cyber landscape, and the impacts of the current climate, including post Covid19 concerns, remote working vulnerabilities and the potential threats vectors that will also be impacting businesses in 2022 and beyond. Practical information as well as interactive training will provide great tools and guidance to bolster your business IT security.
For those who sign up to the event, you’ll have the opportunity to receive a FREE Phishing Test from KnowBe4. Working in partnership with Sweethaven, we’ll be able ‘phish’ your company, specific user groups to see how they would handle a real phishing attack. The results may surprise you but would also provide an initial understanding of where your company is at. You’ll also be able to see how you’re performing at an industry standard!
All the content presented at the event will be available through printed material in your information event pack which you’ll be able to take away. This would include the concealed results of your phishing test. A great tool to present back to those who partook in the phishing test to establish goals and targets that your company would aim to reach to.
We understand that it’s very easy to present information on Cyber Security and then just go away aiming to act upon what was learnt. However, should you wish, we will provide those who attend with FREE initial Cyber Security Auditing and Consultation. This with the aim of guiding your company through any specific changes that should be made to further enforce Cyber Security.
Whether you’re after specific accreditations, staff training, IT equipment refreshment, vulnerability scans, dark web scans, phishing testing or anything else, you’ll be able to request such consultation at a FREE rate. This is a workshop so we will count on your participation and questions throughout. However, if you’d like anything personal and specific, please do take advantage of our free consultation visits.
Following the presentations, we’ll have a Q&A session for our panel. You will also have the opportunity to network with fellow businesses. On top of all the fantastic information provided, we’re saving the best to last. As this event will be at the Hop Stop, you can enjoy FREE drinks. On the house. Perhaps we should’ve started with the free drinks?
Why attend? Here’s the Current Cyber Security Threat Landscape
Regular cyber security testing and training should be viewed as a business-critical priority. Cyber-crime is not only increasing in frequency but also in success rate. This, now more than ever, applies to businesses in all sectors, no matter the business size. To put this perspective, here’s some statistics:
“2021: 125% Increase in Cyber Threats... This diverse range of threats requires organizations to remain hyper vigilant to the ever-evolving nature of attacks.” 1
“43% of all data breaches involve SMBs”2
“Over a 12-month period, ransomware attacks affected 71% of UK organizations” 3
A further look at 2022 cyber threat prediction, most notably, phishing.
We could go on and on with the statistics. But, at this point, it should be glaringly obvious to businesses that, especially in a Hybrid working environment, cyber-crime is a big deal. Unfortunately, many are still neglecting the evidence before it is far too late. The mentality that ‘it’ll never happen to us’ or that ‘we done some training and updates last year, we’re fine for the foreseeable future’ can no longer be.
You wouldn’t drive a car that failed a MOT with several, major defects. So why let your business operate with cyber defects? With that reasoning in mind, Sweethaven urge businesses to act now. Evaluate your IT, identify weaknesses and make goals. Monitor your progress in becoming cyber secure.
If you do require support with where to start or what specifically to do, please do reach out to the Sweethaven team. Our dedicated cyber security experts are here to help. We’ll be happy to provide an initial, free consultation with the aim to get you up to a cyber security baseline standard.
